This homemade anti aging eye cream is a super simple solution to those tired mom eyes. It’s almost Valentine’s Day and you can make something nice for yourself to make your skin feel better. Are people saying you look tired, people have been telling me I looked tired. I decided to take control and make my own eye cream.
Yes I have tired mom eyes Here are my Reasons…
In the past 6 years I have given birth to two wonderful boys. You all know the glorious sleep and rest you get in the first few years of a child’s life. In addition to that our boys have thrown a few curve balls our way. The added stress of raising one boy with severe food allergies and another with Down syndrome may have added to my tired eyes.
I turned 40 this year. That does not make me old it also does not make me young. My skin is 40 years old and it is tending to show it’s age, especially under the eyes.
I am not a stay at home mom and I am not a working mom. I am both. When you get to be both you get to have the stress of both work and homemaking. I love that I get to be both, but it may have something to do with my tired mom eyes.
Let’s Help those Tired mom eyes
All you are going to need to make this eye cream is vitamin E oil, coconut oil and small container to keep in your night stand. Dab on a little every night and morning, if you want, with your ring finger. Use your ring finger because it gives the least amount of pressure on the tender skin around your eyes.

The vitamin E is a strong anti-oxidant that can help fight the signs of aging.
The coconut oil is antibacterial and antifungal and is a great moisturizer.
The added lavender can help you sleep.
A nice container that can double as decor is a great touch.
Here’s the Recipe
- 2 Tablespoons of coconut oil, melted
- ¼ teaspoon of vitamin E oil
- 1-2 drops of lavender essential oil, optional
Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly and cool to harden. I found a used up container of night cream from Clinque, that was the perfect fit.

I have not ever tried making my own anti aging eye cream, but I love to use coconut oil in DIY beauty recipes. I’ll have to pin this one to give a try.

Unlike you I am officially old lol. I had no issues with wrinkles until I was 53 and then all heck broke loose. I also find my skin is super dry in the winter time. I swear by coconut butter and vitamin E cream, but have never put them together. I am going to try this.

HA! I think we are both young, just our skin is old. Glad we are both helping it out!

Okay…if anyone needs this creme, it’s me: the mom of ten. Although I love being the mom of ten kiddos, I don’t want to look like I’m the mom of ten kiddos, you know what I’m saying? LOL #bestandworstweek

MOM of ten! Wow, I can’t believe you have time to even read my post. Thank you so much.

Hi Kim,
I feel you! I am a full-time mom of three preschoolers with a full-time home based job. It is crazy and I too, have mom-tired eyes. I feel like I am aging so fast because of all the stress and lack of sleep. I am so excited to try that DIY eye cream. How often can I apply it around my eyes? Thanks for sharing!
Kim Amy
I put it on every night, but you could also put it on in the morning. It’s basically a moisturizer so use it when you would your face moisturizer. Glad you enjoyed the post, let me know how those eyes look and feel!

This sounds so wonderful! I use Vitamin E to help prevent stretch marks now that I’m pregnant, and it leaves my belly feeling so soft! Definitely going to have to give this recipe a try
